The Denton Brothers are back!

For the 13th straight year, the Denton Brothers hit the streets of the San Francisco Bay Area with their signature holiday sound. Also known as DB3, the guys now consist of the trio of Christopher, Michael, and Mark Denton, whose trio debut was during the 2006 holiday season.

Orignal recording artists and touring members of the Denton Brothers Quartet, twin vocalists Christopher and Michael Denton share a special blend of harmony unique to twins. They have performed together as duo-pianists and as members of the Denton Brothers Quartet and other groups in over 30 states including Alaska and in Canada, India and Russia.

Mark Denton, anticipating a jump into the Coast Guard in early 2008, started out as an on-stage guest vocalist and soloist on his older brothers' second recording. He joined the other 4 guys during the holiday seasons about 9 years ago, and took over the lead spot for the guys when their brother David moved to Arkansas, forcing Michael off of lead and onto baritone. Christopher rounds out the trio with his signature high tenor, making the endings pop.

Come see them perform throughout the Bay Area this season! Find out their exact location ahead of time by calling Michael's cell phone, 408.590.4186. Merry Christmas from the Denton Brothers!

2011 Season at Macy's

Back for their 18th season in a row for Macy's in Union Square, San Francisco, the Denton Brothers kicked off a successful 2011 season with an opening night performance on November 25th.

The Brothers now consist of Michael and Mark Denton and their friend, Nathan Winchell. This is Nathan's 3rd year with the trio, and he provides a nice anchor for the group whether he is at the high or low end of the arrangement being performed. (Incidentally, Nathan also brings height, measuring in at 6'3", a couple inches taller than either Michael or Mark!)

Macy's has featured the Denton Brothers in their Holiday Event Guide available in the store, and has hired the guys for 5 engagements this season, listed below. The Holiday Event Guide encourages you to "Enjoy a cappella Christmas tidings with a unique blend of humor and fun for the whole family with The Denton Brothers."

2011 Holiday Performance dates and times at Macy's in Union Square:

Friday, November 25 from 6-8pm
Saturday, December 3 from 5-7pm
Friday, December 9 from 5-7pm
Saturday, December 17 from 5-7pm
Tuesday, December 20 from 6-8pm
The guys would love to see you this season! To be sure to catch them strolling in the store, call or text Michael at 408.590.4186 and he'll respond with their location.

Successful Christmas Season!

We'd like to thank all our fans and employers who made this Christmas season one of our best--and busiest--ever. Read on for details on how to get a Christmas thank-you from us.

Special thanks especially to Macy's in Union Square, San Francisco, who hired us for several hours for the "10th" straight year. Macy's has some of the best customers in the retail world and we always enjoy making their shoppers and employees happy. (We'll forgive them for thinking it was our 10th year with them instead of 13th!)

Another notable from our busy Christmas schedule was Saks Fifth Avenue in Union Square, who hired us again after several years of silence and we loved every minute of it. We started out singing for their employee breakfast which included their CEO as a special guest. They did the breakfast in style up on the third floor, a truly lavish affair with three types of breakfast meat, two types of potatoes, eggs, fruit, pastries, desserts, and specialty coffees made to order. We wrote a special Saks jingle for them and led them in a few carols karaoke-style after breakfast.

Saks also had us sing in the store on other dates during the season, and is one of the loveliest environments in which we've ever performed. Though you might not be in the market for a $165,000 fur coat or even a $375 candle, the beauty of these and other items is indisputable. The customers and employees alike were so gracious to us, beautiful people with sweet attitudes.

The San Jose Downtown Association also booked us for several engagements. It's so great to go back to places we've sung for years like A.P. Stump's and Bella Mia, and it was so fun to be back in the Old Spaghetti Factory and Sonoma Chicken Coop especially. We're always treated so well by the staff of these fine restaurants!

GET SOMETHING BACK: If you'd like an official Holiday Greeting from the Denton Brothers, please send your e-mail address to Michael at michael@dentonbrothers.com. Or, to receive a limited-edition signed holiday photo postcard, send your postal address to the same e-mail.

SPECIAL THANKS: Thanks for your support over the years! All three of us are moving in different directions after this season, so you won't hear us as the DB3 any more. May God bless each of you in the years ahead and draw you closer to Himself. For information on how to have a walk with God, ask Michael for details. We haven't lived perfect lives, but we do have a relationship with a Great Savior and would love to share Him with you.

Ice Rink Opening Ceremony

What a cool event this turned out to be! Hats off to the Downtown Association, NBC 11 News, and Mayor Chuck Reed for their part in making this a great evening as the ice rink in downtown San Jose was officially opened.

We sang prior to and immediately after the ceremony, which was hosted by NBC 11's anchor, Diane Dwyer, and featured brief remarks from San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed.

Though we're used to stages, mics, and cameras from our touring days, this was a rare treat for our holiday caroling to be amplified and also broadcast on TV. We enjoyed entertaining the large crowd of people who turned out for this event just across the street from Christmas in the Park and next door to the Fairmont Hotel, both locations where we've performed in previous years.

If you missed the event, we were able to record our appearance on the 11 o'clock news and hope to upload that video soon with a little help from our tech team. The broadcast featured us four different times. Cool!

A special shout out to some loyal fans (and friends of Michael's) who made a special trip up from the Monterey area to see us perform and skate with us afterwards!

Pre-Season Gig @ Youth Center

Well, our "soft opening" went really well, thanks to the great students and staff at the Salvation Army Youth Center in Seaside. Check out all the great things they're doing at http://www.tsamonterey.com/!

In addition to a "live practice", the kids got to see our new outfits for 2007 courtesy of Banana Republic Outlet in Gilroy, CA. They also got to hear piano duets, touring fiasco stories, and our Disneyland audition jingle from a few years back.

The kids were really responsive, and we had a great time. Special thanks to Franny Huck and Nikki Belanger for their efforts to bring us to the Center. We're posting a few pics from the event, so enjoy!
